Great video from Thompson

Thompson 6-11-11

New car , new season.
Well after only two test passes on the new dragster we headed to Thompson for our first race. I guess it went pretty good, qualified number one, went on to win the race and set the track record. 3.81 @ 191mph
I was beginning to doubt if all the money and hard work was worth it... Not any more.

Holloween Classic...Give me some Brakes!

Well as usual the weather was a factor for the Saturday qualifying session for the Outlaw Dragsters. Cold temps, cold track, off and on rain, did I mention it was the Halloween Classic. Our first qualifying attempt on Saturday between the rain drops posted a tire spinning 4.595 at 181.74 mph. That put us #5 after round one. The second Saturday session was canceled do to the weather. Sunday morning and we were ready for the second round of qualifying. A different set of tires from our buddy Tim Bragg (who through a rod out in the first round ) and we were hoping to see a low 3.90 pass. Started the car, did the burnout and grabbed the brake handle, only to have it pull all the way back. Yep , no brakes. All I could do is idle down the track and click it off at the end. After the second round our 4.595 was still #8, but after examining the brake problem we found a brake caliper that tore off the mounting bracket and ripped out the brake line. Our day was done.

Congratulations to Glenn Shepard and crew on a great win....Way to go!
And Bob Frigon 196 mph.. Are you kiddin me..!
